A 2010 study, published in the scientific journal Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin, used linguistic analysis software to measure the way 60 individuals discussed their homes. Women who described their living spaces as ‘cluttered’ or full of ‘unfinished projects’ were more likely to be depressed and fatigued than the women who described their homes as ‘restful’ and ‘restorative’. The researchers also found that women with cluttered homes expressed higher levels of the stress hormone cortisol.
Wedding Bells – A Brides Story !
Published by TrendPrive Magazine
I think I confused all my friends, as I got married a year ago with a beautiful civil ceremony at our home and decided to have my wedding reception this January, almost a year later! I was quite against all the glam and show and wanted to keep things simple, however, that didn’t really seem realistic (Indian Weddings!), so I included a Buddhist wedding in the series of ceremonies, as that was the one thing I truly wanted.
Have a Clean Winter!
March 21, 2019|AWESOME STORIES, ENVIRONMENTAL, GLOBAL
This winter, I am in India and normally, it’s never really woolly weather here, however, this year has had its days! Along with my usual treks to the outskirts of Mumbai, I went a little farther this time, for a weekend of strawberry picking and thought that it was the ideal place to take my new winter gear, sent to me by a range of amazing brands.
Christmas is the time for giving, right? Completely disagree! Everyday should be a day for giving however in the spirit of Christmas, a festival I totally love – not only due to the carols, gifts and feasts at Xmas it’s always been a tradition in my house lay out gifts below our tree!
So this year I got gifts from all over the world which I will share just so we can get some ethical presents into our loved ones stockings all through the year!
I have always dabbled in yoga, but last month I decided to challenge myself and practice yoga every day.Since I needed help with this and since I had just moved to a new country, I decided to take advantage of YouTube. Yoga challenge with Adrian– a 30-day challenge that I would recommend to anyone who has or has not done Yoga before was what I started with . I have made Yoga a lifestyle choice and it is my new green routine!
I started this review with nothing in mind but experimenting with new skin care and makeup. Due to my strong advocacy in sustainable fashion and using organic materials to manufacture my fashion line, I just wanted to see what the fuss was about when it came to organic skin care. I am now a month into organic products and have reached the point of never going back. As a lay user there were many changes I found, especially after the first two weeks. Detox – and a heavy one – was what my body went though! I had not really researched much on the products being used so I was learning about them while using them and actually experiencing the effects for myself. I dabbled with a few organic and natural products for my face, hair and body. The term ‘organic’ refers to how an ingredient was farmed – it must be prepared and grown without pesticides, chemical fertilizers, growth hormones or antibiotics. A ‘natural’ ingredient is considered to be anything that’s a plant, mineral or animal by-product.
