We keep hearing it again and again – “Do something”, “Make a Change”, ”Be the change”, “Fashion Revolution “ ,but what if we desperately do want to make the change, but don’t have the bank balance to do it ! This list is especially put together with that in mind!
It’s time to embrace sustainable fashion – helping the environment, people and animals doesn’t mean you can’t have style, and on a budget too!!
Wedding Bells – A Brides Story !
Published by TrendPrive Magazine
I think I confused all my friends, as I got married a year ago with a beautiful civil ceremony at our home and decided to have my wedding reception this January, almost a year later! I was quite against all the glam and show and wanted to keep things simple, however, that didn’t really seem realistic (Indian Weddings!), so I included a Buddhist wedding in the series of ceremonies, as that was the one thing I truly wanted.
Christmas is the time for giving, right? Completely disagree! Everyday should be a day for giving however in the spirit of Christmas, a festival I totally love – not only due to the carols, gifts and feasts at Xmas it’s always been a tradition in my house lay out gifts below our tree!
So this year I got gifts from all over the world which I will share just so we can get some ethical presents into our loved ones stockings all through the year!
Last month I decided to style and direct a beauty shoot using only ethical makeup. I was stunned at how good the model looked. My first experience with ethical makeup was early last year when I tried a specific illuminator. It ended up being cakey and ruined my foundation so I reverted back to my original makeup. However, after recently making the full switch to organic skin care, I decided to give the makeup another try. I am so glad I did! Besides being fragrance free with no harsh reactions and containing vegetable oil that moisturises your skin, it’s good for the environment. Organic makeup is generally more nutrient rich and tends to contain more vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Many consumers are fans of its true environmental benefits and look at using organic products as a way of cutting down the amount of pollutants that can enter the body.
